Achieving a 98.80 percentile in JEE Main is a commendable achievement, indicating strong potential for performing well in JEE Advanced. Here's what you can consider:

    • Assess Your Strengths and Weaknesses: Identify areas where you excel and topics that need improvement based on your JEE Main performance.
    • Prepare Strategically: Since JEE Advanced focuses on deeper conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills, allocate your study time accordingly. Focus on practicing advanced-level problems and mock tests.
    • Mock Tests and Previous Years' Papers: Regularly attempt mock tests and solve previous years' papers to get familiar with the exam

Firstly, congratulation you had and good score in JEE Mains. Now, if you think that you can crack JEE Advanced with good marks, you can start focusing on your advance examination a good score in advance examination will lead you towards good colleges with core branch. I will suggest you to just be focus and passion towards your studies in order to get a good marks in advance also.

If you think you can score good marks in JEE advance and you are very much passionate of IIT, then you should focus on JEE advance. JEE advance needs practice and concept revision.

You have not told about the class you are studying in. If you have completed your 12th then the preparation of JEE Advanced is the only available option. But if you are in 12th then you first focus on your academics because 75% of aggregate marks are mandatory for admissions in IITs and NITs. So you need to make balance between the both.
