In MBA which branch is better in this compitative world?

All MBA branches have some common basic management credits and then specialisation credits. Basic credits common to all branches are designed to form the foundation of a management professional. Specialisation credits which more or less define the branch are generally of two types. Function specific: Like Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Business analytics, International business etc. Industry specific: Like Banking, Insurance, Petroleum, Financial markets, Bio Technology, Healthcare, IT and many more. So which one is better for you is purely dependent on your choice, aptitude, interest, passion, aspiration, aim and bent of mind. As a management graduate with right bent of mind and skills, all the branches are rewarding. In some circumstances the industry specific branches may have uneven or cyclic demand so it become important to do some research and then only select it. Hope this helps.

Hi Akash, There are a variety of MBA specializations in India. Because of the pool of MBA specializations to choose from, students often get confused about how to choose an MBA specialisation. So it is very important to do a SWOT analysis of yourself and choose a specialisation on the basis of your strengths, background and overall personality. The student should have the right focus and attitude to decide the career goals and work specializations. Also consider the return on investment that the course promises. This in turn depends on rankings, acceptance rate, faculty, academic culture and career services associated with the chosen institute. At, IILM University, Gurugram have freedom to choose electives from more than one domain as well. So if your college offers this kind of flexibility then must exercise this option. This will help you to take a balanced decision. Also one must give equal importance to all the aspects of management because when you climb up the corporate ladder, you are required to perform more than one function and thus the knowledge of different areas come into play.
