In NITs what is spot and extra spot round?

I got 122 in main and 467/500 i.e. 93.4%in xii from CBSE. My expected rank is 32000 to 40000 in main. When I search college Predictor in shiksha. com I found that I can get NITs in spot round and extra spot roud.so please tell me what is this spot &extra spot round?

The Spot Round and Extra Spot Round (SRESR) of seat allocation will be for the vacant seats available in Government Funded Technical Institutes (NITs, IIITs and CFTIs) and all seats of Self Financed Technical Institutes (SFTIs) after the upgradation at the end of second round of reporting.
