In which branch of B.tech, we have to deal with robot making?

Some institutes specifically have B.tech in Robotics Engineering branch though you can also join Electronics and communication(EC). -
you can learn how to make robot that will happen in robotics as well as electronics and communication engineering branch. also you can learn by yourself without any degree -
