In which field should I go among public relations and advertising?

I am having 5+ years of experience in a BPO.

    Dear Sanket,
    Both public relations and advertising are two different fields. You already being a working professional and changing your field is a big step to take. I would advice you to initially understand the differenece between advertising and public relations.
    Public relations professionals work to obtain free publicity for their client. Traditionally, that's done by sending press releases to journalists containing the information needed to write a positive story about the client. Newspapers, radio and TV stations (especially local ones) are always looking for fresh story ideas, particularly those with a "human interest" angle.

    It totally depends on individual's choice and aptitude. For those having interest in writing, analysing may check lucrative career into public relations or if one is creative writer than copy-writing in advertising industry is good. If someone has good business acumen and interactive skills then one may opt for client servicing. Both Advertising & PR are lucrative career options.
