In which sector does M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry has good scope in terms of career and business?

Dear Dnyaneswar, M.Sc. physical chemistry have plenty of opportunities in research, academic and industries. Paint industries are always one of the primary sector for Physical Chemistry students. But, I would not suggest joining industries straight way after M.Sc. as the pay scale is not great. You should pursue at least M.Tech. (In specific branch) through GATE if you are looking for industries. The pay will be much better. If you are interested in research or academic profession, M.Sc. in physical chemistry has good scope. You can opt for PhD and choose the specific part of Physical Chemistry which you like most. For example, you can take up some research area related to nanomaterials preparation. The next few years are certainly going to see many industries looking for professionals with specialization in nanomaterials production. So the opportunity will be great. Once you are done with Ph.D, you can also opt in for academic positions like Assistant professor at various university level. But, you must ensure that you have cleared the NET exam at least for lecturership.
