Well if you're 18 you can take the BPP (Bachelors Prep Program) route to Degree. Do remember, Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in animation design, game design, graphics, storyboarding, 3d modelling
