Hello, Any animation school like Animschool or Animation Mentor are a good place to learn animation. It all depends on how you're comfortable learning, some animators have never been to any school and are self taught, teaching themselves from books such as Illusion of Life or Animator's Survival Kit.
The best software would depend on the kind of animation you're going for, personally I prefer Maya and Cinema4d for 3d animation and TV Paint for 2d Animation. The workflow within Cinema4d is the simplest one I've seen in a 3d software. Software are only tools, much like pencil and paper. -
Hi,
When we talk about animation these days, we refer to 3D Animation along with VFX. These open up opportunities in fields like CG animation, game design, VFX, advertising, and graphic design.
Animation experts may become modelers, animators, CG or VFX compositors, lighting artists, shading/surfacing artists, rigging artists, or texturing artists, according to their specific skills.
3D stereo films are becoming quite popular these days. So, new technologies and processes are rapidly coming up to create 3D films.
All the best! -
