Is 75% criteria compulsory for IITs? Can a child take admission in IIT if he does not get 75%?

  • There are 2 criteria for NITs, IIITs, IITs, and GFTIs. First: You need to have at least 75% in your respective board exam. Second: You need to meet the top 20 percentile criteria. If you meet any one of these criteria, you are eligible. Now the Question arises What is the top 20% percentile? The top 20 percentile means you must be in the top 20% scorer in your board exam. Now next question arises how will you know whether you are in the top 20% of your board?
