Is 75% criteria compulsory for IITs? Can a child take admission in IIT if he does not get 75%?

There are 2 criteria for NITs, IIITs, IITs, and GFTIs. First: You need to have at least 75% in your respective board exam. Second: You need to meet the top 20 percentile criteria.
