No, a BTC is not equivalent to a B.Ed. Degree. The Basic Training Certificate (BTC) is an NCTE-recognised course for teacher training in elementary classes. The BTC makes candidates eligible to apply for primary teacher posts in government schools. On the other hand, the B.Ed. Is a degree course. With a B.Ed. Degree, you can apply for primary and upper primary teacher posts. B.Ed. Is mandatory for TGT and PGT posts in many government and private schools. You can take admission in BTC after 12th grade, but to take admission in the B.Ed. Degree, you need to have completed graduation. -
BTC is just Diploma course while B.Ed. Is UG course for teaching graduation and exam will be done semester wise.
