Is a job in Sales necessary to have a career in Marketing? Wherever I have been looking for a Marketing job, the criteria wud include sales

I have been to a few Marketing agencies, and they all wanted me to start doing sales, I do not want to do direct marketing. But have a keen interest in the job which involves creating Marketing campaigns and all, the creative side. Please guide me through the right path!

Dear Tushar, Sales is only part of Marketing. Marketing involves all aspects from a desire creation to satisfaction survey for new product R&D, so it is a ocean. Unless you know and interact with the user/ consumer what creativity is going to be originate in you. Marketing is a creative job and i
