    Yes, why not. Being any kind of graduate from any ugc recognised indian university u can compete state civil service and upsc civil service. Additionally, u will get an advantage because aspirant has to choose a compulsary optional subject along with other compulsary subject. That u can easily choose botany as botany is enlisted in upsc syllabus. Keep in mind the level of optional subject is grad and postgrad level. So choose the subject if and only if u r very much confident in it. Maximum science domain aspirants opt history, public administration, sociology, political science as their optional subject and they do well also as per pa
