The minimum TOEFL score required for admission to the New Zealand Institute of Studies is an overall score of 80 with a minimum of 21 in writing tests for undergraduate programs and 90 with 21 in speaking and writing for graduate degrees. The Institute also accepts several English language proficiency tests besides the TOEFL, including the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, LanguageCert - International ESOLC1 Expert (LRWS), AEMG English for Academic Purposes Direct Entry Program (AEAP DEP) Final Exam, and the English New Zealand Accredited Pathway Assessment.
