Is a week enough to prepare for the NATA?

Hi Pihu, Yes, definitely, provided you join a good coaching institute that gives a decent crash course. NATA consists of two papers: one online and the other is offline (drawing) so, for the online bit you NEED A COACHING institute. Because COA (council of architecture) does not give out sample questions or mock tests or anything of that sort for candidates. And they ask questions that are have nothing to do with general awareness but requires you to have a good enough knowledge about basic architectural terms and a GOOD awareness about building in and out of India.( you can be asked to identify a random building) for which u need coaching. Best time to take NATA: I will suggest around may 20-25. Because by this time all test centers would have opened. Also, admissions start in the first week of June, so you might want to give the exam before June and relax a while before the admissions begin. And also the fact that board exam (class 12) results come out around last week of May so personally I did not want it to affect my NATA performance, so I gave it on May 20. But, obviously the choice is yours :) Also if you live in Delhi then 'NICS' is a good institute, they helped me a lot. I guess, a little more time maybe required. There are a lot of solved question banks for NATA and JEE Paper 2 exams, that would be helpful for you, more than this the sketching ability improvement would be a great addition for these exams.
