Is admission to Calicut University based on merits?

<p>Calicut University offers admission to different undergraduate and postgraduate level courses available in the disciplines of Management, Science, Arts, and Commerce, and many others.</p><p>For most of the courses, the university conducts an entrance exam and releases rank lists for the shortlisted candidates. All the colleges affiliated to Calicut University accepts the provisional rank list scores for admission to the respective course. The admissions to Calicut University are based on a Merit List prepared by the University basis on the candidate's entrance exam score.&nbsp;</p>
