Is AICTE good for MBA? Does it have weightage abroad?

MBA and MCA courses were conducted by many institutes which required AICTE approval but the Honourable Supreme Court of India declared in a recent judgment around last week of April 2013 that the AICTE can only ACT in an advisory capacity and not a governing body which is the UGC only. The main aim after doing the course is one or more of the following : To have a legal, legitimate, and valid degree To join the public sector To join private sector job To study further in India or abroad To be self-employed If you are joining a UGC-approved university course, even if it is not approved by AICTE you will not suffer on any of the above accounts. So to summarize the above it can be said that although you can get admission to an AICTE approved course, if you are studying at the campus of a university recognized by UGC, then the course is equally valid. So totally UGC or AICTE is compulsory but not both.
