AIIMS Delhi is ranked 1st by India Today and NIRF 2023 under the Medical category,  6th by NIRF 2023 under the Overall category, and 12th by US News 2023 under the University (Overall) category. Compared to PMCH, one of the oldest medical institutes in India, AIIMS Gorakhpur is the most recent educational medical institute. Although the faculty at PMCH is more experienced, AIIMS Gorakhpur is more up-to-date and has the newest technology. NCHM has a higher NIRF ranking than AIIMS Gorakhpur.

AIIMS Gorakhpur is a newer college compared to PMCH, which is one of the oldest medical colleges in India.
