Its compulsory dude.until and unless u need a admission from a reputed colleges but some have there own entrance which could be written and referred for admition.feel free to ask more .plz like

No, AIEEE(Now JEE) exam is conducted for admission into NIT, IIT, IIIT like institutions.
Other state run and deemed universities also offer B. Tech Course with their own entrance
