Is aircraft maintenance engineering degree good to become a pilot?

You can't be a pilot after completing aircraft maintenance engineering as after completing the degree, you become an engineer, so to become a pilot, you have to complete well-defined course of pilot training.

AME will not take you to a pilot's seat in the cockpit. The requirement to become a pilot is 10+2 with 50% marks in PCM, if you satisfy the criteria then only you can take admission and pursue your CPL training.
