Dear Umang, Amity University is doing quite well in management studies, but it certainly isn't the best, there are a lot of better players, LPU is one of the top one. The MBA programme at LPU is a great mix of cutting edge curriculum, experiential learning pedagogy, industry interface, projects, internships and consultancies, technologies trainings and many more. Amity cannot be said to be the best for management studies. It would be a good choice to opt for LPU as in the present scenario this is the university which caters to the all-round development of its students and nurtures it with care to boost the career to a pinnacle of ultimate success which might be the envy of many. My first cousin did MBA from LPU. Initially she had a confusion whether she should join LPU or not because she had qualified CAT that too with good percentile. She could easily get seat in any good elite B-school, but she choose LPU after talking to her senior who had completed MBA from LPU and placed in a top ranking MNC and that too on a lucrative package. She was worried about reviews but then Her senior told her that If you ask someone who was not eligible for in campus placements will say that placements or college is not good and person will find faults in everything. Even they helped her after regular university hours for her projects. Standard of students: They did not compromise on the quality of the students. They have a rigorous admission process. Admission can be taken if you have good percentage and you have good percentile in entrance + marks in interview. Courses offered: They have ample of specializations in MBA and also provides dual specializations. Batch size: In every section they had 4060 Students. Placements: University provides with opportunities and it's up to the students to grab it. My cousin got placed in the very first drive of placements that too on package of 15.20LPA. All I can say is LPU brings in lot more companies (apx. 450+) and the average package revolves around 5 to 6 Lacs per annum. Its up to you how you prepare yourself for the placements and stand out from the herd. LPU provide different classes for placements which helps in grooming. Students are trained in Aptitude, Reasoning, free preparation for government Exams, Soft Skills and language training, Interview skills right from the 1st year, continuously for 2/3/4 ( duration of course) years till they get job. Fees: Scholarship is an Integral part of their fee Structure and fee is less as compare to B-schools. Better the student, lesser is the fee. Take your time and Make a good decision.
