Lovely Professional University is regarded as one of the Best Design colleges in India and Punjab, LPU School of Design offers its students cutting-edge labs and equipment to simulate the industry environment with practical exposure to fashion industry right from designing to merchandising. My cousin sister is pursuing B. Design (Fashion) from LPU itself. She has discussed few points with me about her course:- She told me Study tours are an integral part of curriculum with visitation of architectural and prominent sites provides maximum exposure to learn technicalities of architecture. She said. Fashion designing is a branch having a lot of scope and in LPU, they give a lot of exposure to students, through guest lectures from industry top shots, various in campus and out campus fashion shows, and also they have their own store where the studentscreations are showcased and sold. The school provides a platform for students to experiment with creative designs, patterns, fabrics and colors. Live with fashion events, visits by renowned national and international fashion designers, innovation and creativity is fostered in the students at every step. They are encouraged to experiment with different materials to create conceptual wear and accessories. Also Students are exposed to fashion shows, craft fairs, industry internships and craft documentation. They get intensive exposure to practical work in Pattern making, Draping, Weaving, Printing, Dyeing, Garment Construction labs. Students are given various Live-projects during the course of the programme to create commercially viable designs. She went to educational tours to complement in-class learning. Students visit various monumental buildings and industries across India such as marble industries, tile industries, Thermax industry, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors etc. LPU provides a good platform for placements for all streams and programs. LPU has a separate dept which looks after placement opportunities. Apart from that, each school has its own placement coordinator who is responsible and actively works for not only calling companies to the campus, but also for preparing students for placements by giving them proper training.

Dear Tanvi, I have no idea of the fashion designing course at Amity Noida, but being alumni of LPU, I can share the details of this programme at LPU with you. My elder sister has done her B.Design Fashion from Lovely Professional University and today she is successfully running her own Brand, she was also part of internship projects with leading Fashion stylists. Also, her designs are appreciated not just in India but even abroad. She always keeps on appraising LPU for different platforms provided by them. I will be sharing a few major highlights of the Fashion Design course based upon her experience. The School of Fashion Designing of Lovely Professional University is doing extraordinary works in the field of Designing. They are conducting Fashion Shows regularly for the students. It gives a great chance to the students to show their talent in front of a big audience. Prominent designers are also taking part in the events. So, surely it is a big opportunity university is providing to the students in Lpu. The infrastructure for the practical works is very excellent in the university. Students can enjoy the course curriculum which has given more importance to practical knowledge. Scholarships have one other significance. Amity School of Fashion Technology, Noida is the best college. Placements: Placements of our college are very good, and freshers got placed very good companies. Most of the students from our course get recruited in companies. Limits are high and very ambitious for students, and freshers get a salary package of Rs. 25,000/- per month. The school is approved by the NAAC and recognised by the UGC. It has 19 in-house faculty members and 15 visiting members and was ranked 11 and 15 for Fashion Design by India Today in 2020 and Outlook 2019, respectively.
