Yes, it is possible for an India qualified lawyer to work in a foreign jurisdiction as a lawyer. The easiest way to do this is to work as a 'consultant' who only advises with respect to Indian law. Much like the lawyers who work at the India desks of large firms abroad. Ofcourse, based on local requirements and firm practices, this may require the Indian lawyer to take a local exam of some sort - like the equivalency exam in the UK. If the Indian lawyer wishes to practice local laws in the foreign jurisdiction, then an additional local qualification or local qualifying exam might be mandated. Like passing a State Bar in the US.

The Indian law degree, LL.B. Is valid in some countries, like Canada. Recently, Canada has recognised the three-year Indian law degree for higher studies. To practice law with a degree from an Indian law school, you must either pass an exam or enroll in a law course in most countries. Also, career opportunities are limited for lawyers with an Indian Bachelor's degree in law. As a legal advisory, for example, you can manage a company's legal affairs. Therefore, if you want to practice law in other countries, you must learn the qualifications of the local bar and do a bridge course in that country.
