    Andhra University is the first to be accepted as a teaching-cum-affiliating and residential university in India. Further, it is accredited by the NAAC with 'A' grade, and is recognised by the UGC to award degrees to its students. Andhra University, established in 1926, is a public university located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It mainly offers postgraduate teaching and research education to its students. Andhra University has five constituent colleges, located in Kakinada (East Godavari District), etc. Herla (Srikakulam Dist), Tadepalli Gudem, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam.
