Andhra University was established in 1926 and is a public (government) university. It was the first university in India to be approved as a residential, teaching-cum-affiliating university. Numerous undergraduate and graduate programmes in the domains of science, engineering, the arts, business, pharmacy, law, and education are available at Andhra University. Located at Kakinada (East Godavari District), etc.herla, Tadepalli Gudem, Vizianagram, and Vishakhapatnam, the university is affiliated with five colleges.
