Andhra University was established in 1926 and is a public (government) university. It was the first university in India to be approved as a residential, teaching-cum-affiliating university. Numerous undergraduate and graduate programmes in the domains of science, engineering, the arts, business, pharmacy, law, and education are available at Andhra University.
