Is Anna Hazare's recent protest in Hissar signifies his political inclination?

The recent polls in Hissar proved to be a struggle for the Congress party. Hissar has never been a happy hunting region for the party, but few thinks their defeat is the consequence of the Anna Hazare's protest there right before the polling. I invite all the respected experts for this discussion an... View More

    Good discussion,
Hissar as we know were not being much favorable for congress and thus its not proper if we get into a conclusion that Anna-factor played a major role. But definitely we have seen people sentiments were high towards anna than any political party and may have resulted in the margin of defeat. On the other side, The assembly by-elections in Bihar and Andhra Pradesh was along the predicted lines. At the Khadakvasala in Maharashtra, a stronghold of Sharad Pawar's NCP, party was not even in the fray and if everything goes the same it can be a straight sign of people's sentiment against corruption and demand for a strong bill

Criticizing a government and it's action DOESN'T seem to be a political game to me. And it is obvious that they'll target only UPA because it is the rulling party. I mean how can we say it a political game?Rather Ramdev palyed a political game where he secretely promised and signed to government to end the fasting and kept himself there with the innocent public.

Well, this is just the one face of the coin. Have you ever hard a BJP leader clearly giving his take on the Bill. This is true to say that the bill has been in contention for more than 4 decades and both Congress and the BJP had their govt. at the centre during this period. But, isn't it that the Congress party is being considered a 'Scapegoat' here.
Must say, Anna has clearly mentioned that he is not after the congress, but is against those who are not in favour of the bill. But, this is simply 'SPOILING THE PARTY' for the congress. It would have been a different thing if the opposition mentioned their take clearly. But, I think BJP i

And just because Anna protested against congress in Hissar, doesn't show his political inclination, even if the BJP have been on congress' place then even Anna would have protested in the same manner.

I don't think so. When you'll listen to what Anna says, then you'd find the core reason behind this protest in hissar. Anna said. "The bill has been into re-proposal stage for 8 times in congress' rule and this time again it is the UPA that is not giving any fair picture of any implication regarding the same. When we'll consider the "WHY" aspect and not "HOW", then we will find that whatever happened was required.

Sure Anna has a good and consistent background to take up issues as he's done in the past. The detractors are trying to focus on a single statement which is also recorded in all political documents since freedom (about the plebiscite) so even that was new but the political people know how to hurt people and make them behave in strange manners. Sure there are certain promises made in Kashmir but yes there also was a popular leader, Sheikh Abdullah, who was a true representative of the people of Kashmir and that they decided to go for India decisively after a certain incident (when 1000s of Pathans raided and staged a lot and carnage in

Anna seems to be too simple a person for being a politician. He does not nurses any political ambition also. He is quite straightforward and that is the reson that people tend to interprete him to suit what they themselves want to say. The defeat of Congress in Hissar, I suppose is not only due to the Anna factor. Yes, the Anna factor could have increased the margin of defeat but nothing more than that, I think. There were several other reasons for the Congress debacle.
The instances in the past fortnight has set some differences within the Anna team and this is more dangerous for the country & the right minded countrymen for whom someo

IF one were to look at Anna for the first time, he would listen to him.His speech does not reflect any hidden meaning. His facial expression gives out a transparent expression. Then, his actions are idealistic, down to earth. Next, if you look into his old statements, and compare with new ones, you will find there is least deflection. Thereafter, when you look at his pst record, you will not find anything objectionable. Thereafter, when you look at his personal belongings, you will find almost nothing. If you look at his family relations, again you will find that he is leading the life of a sannyasi--living in his own village, but not
