<p>It depends on your point of view how good the Tamil Nadu distance learning programme at Annamalai University is. Ranked 15th among Indian government universities, the university holds a 'A+' accreditation from the NAAC and is featured in India Today Magazine. It has the distinct distinction of being the first institution in India to offer postgraduate degree programs in a variety of fields, in addition to offering a vast array of distance education courses. But there are differing opinions about its overall quality and some that suggest it may not be well-regarded for engineering. Some even suggest that for certain courses, students should attend other universities, like Anna University.</p>
