Candidates with a BE, BTech, BS, or BDes degree and a GATE or GPAT qualification are eligible for financial aid worth INR 12,400 per month. Even if they do not pass the GATE exam, IIT BTech graduates with a CGPA of 8 or higher are eligible for assistantships. Sponsored category students cannot get an IITJ assistantship, nevertheless.
