No, it is a job that requires you to work full-time. You must first conduct a significant amount of fieldwork in the field of archaeology, beginning with your internship and project plan. Then, if you are aiming to become an archeologist, you have to do lots of research on the ground. Traveling may be required in order to survey, verify findings, dig, conduct lab work, examine relics, etc. In some jobs, like being a clerk or a librarian, you might have a set schedule, but you need to put in enough time if you want to be an archeologist.
