Is Automobile Engineering and Mechanical as specialization in Automotive Engineering same? What should I choose between these two?

Automobile engineering and Mechanical engineering are two different degrees but have 80% syllabus in common. Yet, job opportunities are restricted for automobile engineers as compared to mechanical engineers. The best would be to pursue degree in mechanical engineering first and then, pursue M.Tech.

Thank you sir. But there are colleges like VIT that offers B.Tech in mechanical with specialisation in automotive engineering, what is that course then?
