Is B.Arch an expensive course as compared to B.Tech? Is it worth pursuing the same from an expensive college?

B.Tech is of 4-years and B.Arch is a 5-year programme and both courses are quite different. Fee structure totally depends upon the college type and name. Many big colleges charge high for B.Arch and B.Tech both and many charges high for B.Arch. But generally, B.Arch course is more expensive than B.Tech course as in B.Arch one has to use a lot of drawing stuff, go for study tours and site visits which make B.Arch costly. Generally, B.Arch course charge 80-90k fee per semester and more studying stuff charge. It doesn't matter how much it charges for someone having an interest in this field. Money also doesn't matter if you are paying this fee for a decent college as studying in these college gives you a hope of placement after completing the course so paying for interest or in a good college is not a bad decision.

B.Tech. Is a 4-year curriculum, while B.Arch. Is a 5-year programme, and both are very different. The nature and name of the college have a significant impact on the fee structure. Many large universities demand high tuition for both B.Tech and B.Arch. As well as high fees for B.Arch. However, in general, a B.Arch course costs more than a B.Tech degree since B.Arch requires the use of a lot of drawing materials and requires students to travel to sites for study tours and site visits. B.Arch courses typically cost between $80,000 and $90,000 each semester, with additional fees for supplies. For someone interested in this profession, it doesn't matter how much it costs. Money is also irrelevant if you are paying this amount for a respectable college because attending these institutions will provide you a better education.

The cost of both the courses are quite similar depending on the college you pursue the course from, like in case of IIT, NIT, and BIT etc. These colleges even have the same process of admission. B.Tech is Bachelor of technology, it mainly deals with technology field. If you are strong in mathematics and physics, then you may choose it as your career option. You have to study totally based on technology. B.Arch is Bachelor of Architecture, it is also related to technology, but mainly it deals with designing part of architecture. To become a good architecture, you must be a good designer. If you like physics, mathematics as well as designing, then go for architecture. If you become a very good architect, then scope and opportunity will be very high for you. The career opportunities for architects are very high, because of the boom in the construction and designing fields. They are demanded in various government and private organizations. You can work in the sectors of construction, urban planning, urban development corporations, public works departments, interior designing, etc. Architects have lots of job opportunities in architect firms, universities, consultancy companies, etc. Global market, especially in the USA, Australia and Dubai provide attractive career and jobs for architecture graduates. Architects can work in the office as well as in the construction site. In construction companies, they are working as a designer. You can also work independently and earn occupation through consultancy charges that depend upon your skills, profile and experience. Hello, The expense incurred during the tenure of the B.Arch or B.Tech or any other courses does not just depend upon the college but also on many other factors like; # Your accommodation. # Your coaching and tuitions fees. # Travel and other minor expenses. Apart from that, if you are thinking that B.Arch is expensive, I would say 'NO'. B.Arch is not a very expensive course as compared to B.Tech (preferably Civil Engineering Course). The main reason of this low fees could be the lesser market demand. In India, students are orientating lesser toward architecture course 'in compared' to civil engineering course. Hence, due to low demand, fee is also quite low. However, the entire fee mainly depends upon the college from where you are doing the course. Private charge more fee than government ones. In general, the fee of B.Arch is between INR 1,00,000/- to 1,20,000/- per years. On the other hand, the feed of B.Tech Civil engineering is varies between INR 1,00,000/- to 1,50,000/- per years.
