- Along with the Master's Degree, a B.Ed degree or an equivalent qualification like M.Ed is mandatory for applying to UP PGT positions.

Candidates must have a Master's Degree in the respective subject from a recognised university along with BEd Degree/ MEd Degree/ PhD/ Part in National Sports Championship. Candidates who fulfill the laid down UP PGT eligibility criteria are eligble to apply for the exam.
