No, if you want to be a secondary teacher then only B.Ed is mandatory, if you want to be a teacher in junior college i.e. up to 12th then M.Ed with PG is required. If you want to be a lecturer in degree colleges then you need to have a PG degree with minimum 55 percent and also need to qualify for either National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by UGC. If you want to teach in engineering, management, pharmacy and architecture you need to have minimum 60 percent in your PG degree.

Hello, To become a lecturer in college or institutes you have to clear the UGC NET Exam. B.Ed is for teachers level. The UGC NET Exam is for selecting the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for awarding Junior Research Fellowship. The National Testing Agency conducts this exam for all the postgraduates who wants to pursue their career in research and teaching fields.
