Is B.Ed general equivalent to B.Ed speical?

I would like to know if whether B.Ed general is equivalent to B.Ed special education for the post of TGT Hindi. If applicant had done graduation from hindi and B.Ed special education where teaching subjects are hindi and social Science, is he eligible to apply for the post?

As per my knowledge, it is just the nomenclature changes. However, if both two types are available in the same University or college than it is advisable to consult the institution.
