Both courses are different, and we can't compare the career growth. The opportunities are not so much within the type of degree, as it is within the individual who has the degree. It completely depends on interest. B. Tech will fetch you a higher package only if you are very brilliant. If you won't go for a good B.Tech college then you may not even get a job. With pharma though, the package will be low, but job security will be more than B.Tech.

B.Tech Biotechnology is much better option than B. Pharmacy because you have many opportunities with biotechnology in the industry.
