Is B.Sc. Agriculture course of LPU ICAR approved at present?

Hi, Yes, of course. LPU is the First Private University to be Granted ICAR Accreditation By the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. The faculty is well qualified, and most of them are Ph. This and provide full support to the students. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held. If a faculty wants a leave, either the makeup lectures are planned, or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. In this stream, as most of the work is fieldwork, every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks under the supervision of the staff. If I talk about placements, University provides separate placement-oriented classes, and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etc. Etera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students. I want to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms. Thanks.

Being an alumni of LPU I would rather say that the school of Agriculture in Lovely Professional University is among the best place for pursuing the B.Sc. In agriculture. Eligibility for admission in this course is as follows (a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or (b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent *Condition of English as a subject may be waived off provided the candidate has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) Now you would be saying why I am saying like that, actually my cousin has completed his degree from here only. The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR. I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills. In addition to the regular course work, especially designed practical courses like Hands on training, Practical crop production, Rural and Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE), Nursery raising for horticulture crops, Crop And SEED Identification Laboratory, Soil And Water Sampling And Analysis, Soil Description And Interpretation Discipline Highlights: Agriculture laboratory, Organic And Chemical Fertilizer, Manure Identification And Application Laboratory, Introductory Nematology, Disease Of Horticultural Crops And Their Management, Practical Floriculture And Vegetable Crop Production Laboratory, Bio-Safety Rules And Intellectual Property Rights are offered to promote practical implication of various courses which train students for industry. Students are exposed to Commercial farms (100 acres) to know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture, M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy) and M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes are accredited to ICAR by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, an autonomous body responsible for co-ordinating agricultural education and research in India. It reports to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture. The LPU's ICAR accreditation is valid up to 31 March 2023. Highlights of B.Sc. Hons. Agriculture are given below. International Exposure Option : Student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions.
