    A professional course like B.Tech gives you greater advantage than pure science. Pure sciences get you the advantage for research.

    No, B.Sc biotechnology is basically a 3 year course. While, B.Tech biotechnology is a four year course. In B.Tech biotechnology, you will be taught general engineering subjects also along with mathematics as a main subject, while in B.Sc it would be core science subjects only like molecular biology, stem cell, etc.
