Well B.Tech is much diverse programme, then B.Sc IT. For placement, B.Tech has more prospects. B.Tech is for 4years, B.Sc is for 3 Years. Most important is what is your interest and will you be able to carry forward yourself for the same. You must do it from Lovely Professional University, Symbiosis University, Sharda University etc. Which offers excellent learning atmosphere to its students. Few of these universities provides extensive learning programs and exposure to the students.

The question should be more like what does you want to do. B.Tech and B.Sc are degrees, they are the means to achieve a goal. In fact, you can always do an engineering after B.Sc. As well. IISC offers professional degrees after B.Sc. (M.Tech). First u needs to figure out if u really wants to be an engineer. I would say B.Sc. Is a more versatile degree as it allows you test the waters (liking the subject) and then decide on a Masters based on interest? B.Sc. Duration- 3 years
B.Tech-4 years this also a side to look out. In terms of job perspective B.Tech slightly got better of B.Sc.

I can tell you that demand of CS and IT is evergreen, so you can opt for any of these courses. If you are more interested in software go for CS and, if you are more into hardware go for IT. Whichever you choose, B.Sc, IT or CS and B.Tech CS and B.Tech IT, study hard and take depth knowledge all subject. In terms of job perspective, it depend on many things, like your college, marks, knowledge and how you expressed it. And, average salary package for B.Tech CS is around
