Is B.Sc maths a smart choice if my ultimate aim is to crack SSC? Shall I start preparing for SSC while doing my B.Sc?

Yes, this choice is good but you require more time to complete B.Sc Mathematics.

Yes, there are lots of opportunities in the mathematics field. If you are an honours student then you have to work hard throughout. You can start your preparations for SSC CGL and +2 level i.e. SSC CHSL to an extent. Maths is helpful and at CGL level, the quantitative paper consists of lots of maths

Since you have started B.Sc, prepare only for SSC that is +2 level. Right now, don't prepare for graduate level SSC. It is up to you, how much time you can give your studies. Give more of your efforts to B.Sc. Because your graduation marks are valued more for higher studies. Regards.
