Is B.Sc not as good as B.Tech?

I am in class 12th and want to do B.Sc maths (Honors) and become a professor or teacher but my parents are forcing me to do B.Tech, what should I do?

No, both the courses have equal importance in today's world. They are different from each other in learning style, syllabus and job opportunities.
