Jorhat Engineering College (JEC) is considered better than Kaziranga University (KU) for placement. JEC is a top government engineering college in Assam. KU is a new, private university.

Jorhat Engineering College offers a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, while Kaziranga University offers a B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering. Kaziranga University is more expensive than Jorhat Engineering College, but it offers a three-month technology domain training programme in Bangalore/Pune/Delhi Regarding placements, Jorhat Engineering College has a good reputation for computer Science engineering placements, with IT companies like Cognizant, Accenture, Capgemini, Wipro, and TCS recruiting students from the college every year.
