No, both are good colleges. You can opt for any of the engineering colleges for your B.Tech course. The faculties are good in both the colleges. There are vast subjects in both colleges where you can do your btech and placements at VEC are slightly better in SRM Vallilamai. Most companies approach this college for the computer science department.
