Without any bias towards any particular college, I will offer you my own perspective. It depends on your end goals or objectives. Most of the Engineering Colleges in India don't focus much on developing the overall personality of the student. Anyways Your decision making should not be on the basis of placements, packages but on quality of students ( your peer group), faculty, infrastructure, curriculum, and the alumni network. My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely Professional University and currently he is working in Amazon with the highest package. So through him I come to know about University and few other things which I would like to discuss:- LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. Students can contact them anytime for their study purpose. The latest teaching methods are used in the classroom. The placements on the campus is good enough. It is the best university in the North of India to give the best packages in B.Tech (CSE). During the time of my brother induction, I have seen a few students who got placed in the companies with a package of 42 LPA. The university placement drive undoubtedly works hard for the students to get placed. Just before Final Year of your course, a special team called School of Professional Enhancement will prepare students for upcoming placements and you won't get a day off from placements, every day a company comes to campus. Its just up to you how well you can do and never lose Patience you will get placed, you just have to prepare well for that. The university has tie-ups Oracle to train us better and with huge companies for placements like Google, Microsoft, Capgemini, Amazon, JOSH technology group, Tech Mahindra, TCS and others who visit every year offering attractive packages to students. The average package is around 3.5lakhs - 4.5lakhs p. a. The deserving ones are also seen ceasing the opportunity by getting placed with a whopping package of 20-25 LPA. LPU offers Study Abroad Programme that allows the students to experience the international study culture well under the framework of a different educational system abroad. Thank you!

Lovely professional University is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. , Number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. Seeing all the advantages and opportunities that you will get at LPU, Undoubtedly LPU would be far better choice for CSE than CU. The academics and the curriculum here are far better than those at CU. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and at the same time, they are very helpful. For placements, there are more than 600 companies coming here including Google, Microsoft, IBM, Bosch, Goldman Sachs, etc. Hence, if you are sincere with your studies and work on your coding skills, you can be more than just sure about your placements and that too with a very good package. And as far as the campus life is considered, it is just great at LPU. LPU has a very huge and clean 600-acre campus with world-class infrastructure. It has all the facilities inside the campus itself like banks, post office, etc.

CSE dept. Of LPU is having the highest number of students under a single dept. Being an alumni of LPU I had many friends from CSE and I used to see them wearing formal dress almost every day because their placement drives would happen every day in their final year. Most of the students get offers in their third year itself. The placement record of CSE from LPU is phenomenal. Every year LPU breaks its own record in terms of placements. Many giants like Amazon, Interviewbit have offered packages of around 26LPA to LPU students from CSE. VMWARE, Jugnoo, Pegasystems have offered packages of 9LPA to students, many other companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Bosch have offered packages of 6 LPA and the list is endless. The CSE dept. Of LPU has various tie-ups with Google, Pega, VMWARE, AUTOMATION ANYWHERE, INFORMATICA, COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (CompTIA). The university has sate of the art labs with the latest software to provide hands on practical exposure to students. Every year students develop various applications and enhance their capabilities to meet the industry demands as soon as they pass out from LPU. In short, if you have opted for B.Tech in CSE from LPU, then you need to worry about getting placed. I'm alumni of lpu and from my experience, I can say lpu is the best, it has the infrastructure and professional faculty is there, who are always there for students. I have friends who were studying at CU. And the funny thing is I have completed my B.Tech degree and now working whereas my friends are having backlog and repair. Most of the students get offers in their third year itself. The placement record of CSE from LPU is phenomenal. Every year LPU breaks its own record in terms of placements. Long story short, I just wanna say at the end it all comes to the student only if they give their best they will definitely bang very good packages.
