    Hi,
Since ECM involves both and is a cross breed of ECE and CSE you can take up your jobs in both the fields and different companies with good packages. The concept of Internet of Things (IoT) is taught to only ECM people due to hardware software co-design as, ECE people only know how to make communication systems and CSE people know how to make programs. You can have a hold on both. You can definitely try for ECM.
    Good Luck!

It is totally up to you. CSE is easier as compared to ECE. Chose ECE only if you are interested in it.
