Is BE computer science engineering a better course or B.Tech IT is better? I'm confused about these two courses.

I've just completed my 12th standard & have scored 73% average in bio-math group but I'm interested in computers as I studied computers up to class 10th ICSE level.

The major difference between both these fields is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes while computer science deals with the science that facilitates these applications. On the other hand, IT is just the selection of the proper software or hardware for the task.
