Is BE in Animation and Design better or 3 yrs Diploma is better? I see only one college in Chandigarh has Animation in its courses!

My view is by doing BE in Animation, one need to study Maths, Physics, Chemistry etc un-necessarily. Instead of this Diploma or 3 years course could be done and then take up some advanced course. What is the real use of having BE done in Animation and Design? Do let me know your views
