According to me, there is no difference on BE and B.Tech. I can assure you that the courses are same in both of them. Difficulty level depends on the university and on the marking scheme. For practical knowledge, I can't assure you a good university that accepts IITs, not even NITs. Since for the core branches like mechanical, electrical and civil there is no need for the practical knowledge (according to the demand and present pattern). Ultimately, you have to fight for GATE exams.

Hello Abhishek, There is absolutely no truth in this statement. Both are equivalent degrees. Some Institutions award B Tech while some award BE. This is simply because of some legal issues. That's all.
