With the tremendous increase in no. of engineers every year, being just an engineering graduate not enough. A person need to go for a post graduation degree in order to earn a peaceful living. First Point of difference is the Kind of job profile one get is completely different. 2)Second There is no way A technical degree can be compared to a management degree. But current scenario is this people are opting for MBA rather then Mtech.

Today the executives of a company form the cream layer and are the highest paid officials. My point is if an engineer does his/her masters in engineering the pay is still lagging from those in management. Why are engineers left behind? why are most of todays engineers going for MBA rather than M.Tec

Yes Sahira, I also came across with an educational institute offering 1 year PGD with specialization in Corporate Administration and Facility Management. Infact I would say Facility Manager as a profession is going to be one of the highest paid in coming years.

One rule always has been true that is Survival of the fittest and with Competition one has to be the fittest to stay , taking up higher education keeping update as per Industry standard is of prime importance for engineers so its natural .
