It is considered to be one of the noted business schools in Kolkata but may not rank as the best with a lot of prestigious institutions in the race. Some of the highly reputed schools of this city are the Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta, International Management Institute, and Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management. These institutes are known for their academic excellence and maintain good industrial relations as well. Although BIBS is a quality institution with a good reputation, these institutes mentioned on the list hold better rank to satisfy one as a prestigious business institute in Kolkata.

I would not say that Bengal Institute of Business Studies is the best college for business studies in Kolkata. But this college is one of the best colleges in Kolkata, Because there are some other prestigious institutions for business studies like International Management Institute, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, IISWBM etc. These colleges are also the best. So that's why Bengal Institute of Business Studies is one of the best colleges in Kolkata for business studies.
