Any caste, region, religion students can apply for admission to various courses at BHU. Any caste student must fulfill the eligibility criteria and take admission. While selection process, students are not judged basis their religion, they are judged based on their merit. Hence, any student meeting the eligibility criteria can get admission in BHU. BHU does not descriminate people on any basis.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is not exclusively for Hindus. It is open to all eligible students, regardless of their religious background. The university was founded in 1916 and is known for its inclusivity, welcoming students from diverse backgrounds. BHU's establishment was supported by individuals from various communities, and today it stands as one of the largest residential universities in Asia, with over 30,000 students, including undergraduates and postgraduates. BHU's name reflects its historical roots and values, emphasizing its connection to Hindu culture and philosophy, but it does not restrict admission based on religion
