Hi,
I agree with @||Gazala78061|| that S.M.U is U.G.C recognized and its degree is valid and can be used to apply for public sector jobs.
Also I would say that depending on the field of your work, the courses, training and certifications required for government posts vary.

Yes, it is UGC recognized. For validity for Govt. jobs inquire with the Department of Education of your state by RTI application.
